LATTC student Enzo Kwamegne is a standout player on the college鈥檚 basketball team and recently earned a well-deserved recognition after an exceptional performance on the court.

During the 52nd Annual Grossmont College Invitational last December, Enzo scored an impressive 32 points, earning the spotlight with his contribution. For his efforts, Enzo was awarded the All-Tournament, a recognition that highlights his role as a key player for the team. His achievement is a proud moment for the college and the team, showing what can be accomplished through focus, determination, and passion for the game.

Enzo鈥檚 discipline and determination are qualities that serve him beyond the game of basketball. He鈥檚 currently in his first year at Trade-Tech after transferring from Friends University in Wichita, KS, and is keeping up his grades with all As and Bs. He began with a focus on Health Science and has since switched gears to Business in hopes of one day starting his own business, possibly in physical therapy. When asked about Enzo, LATTC Athletic Director Alan Wagenbach simply said, 鈥淗e鈥檚 stellar on and off the court. Great character, good grades, good basketball player. He鈥檚 the true definition of a really good guy.鈥

LATTC Men鈥檚 Basketball Head Coach, Sherwyn Morgan, emphasized the importance of athletic programs in the overall development of our young people. 鈥淲e鈥檙e teaching these student athletes more than just basketball, we鈥檙e teaching them how to be young men and women. These guys represent our college; they鈥檙e wearing the Trade-Tech name on their sweatsuits. When we鈥檙e on the road and playing in tournaments, even when we鈥檙e off the court and eating as a team, we teach these guys how to open doors for others and be young men first. It makes its way back to the floor because they learn to become better teammates to each other.鈥

With the life skills he鈥檚 learned on the court, Enzo is sure to go far.
