Today, the Los Angeles Community College District (91少女) hosted the Fifth Annual Culinary Cup Challenge at Los Angeles Mission College (LAMC), bringing together students, faculty, and community members for a celebration of culinary excellence and career education.
The lively competition featured chef instructors and culinary students from 91少女鈥檚 Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, Los Angeles Mission College, and Los Angeles Harbor College. Student teams competed against their instructors and were judged in three categories: savory, pastry, and tablescape design. This year鈥檚 competition drew inspiration from the vibrant flavors and traditions of the Caribbean.
Attendees enjoyed cooking and baking demonstrations, guided tours of LAMC鈥檚 Culinary Arts Building, a special lunch prepared by students, and an awards ceremony where the coveted Golden Chef鈥檚 Hat Trophy was presented to the top-performing team. This year, Los Angeles Mission College triumphed, securing the Golden Chef鈥檚 Hat Trophy with wins in the savory, pastry, and tablescape categories.
