The honorees – Trustee Sara Hernandez, Councilmember Ysabel Jurado, Lauren James, and Corinne Sanchez – were selected for their leadership and dedication to making a positive, lasting impact on the Los Angeles community.

Los Angeles County Chair Pro Tem Hilda L. Solis honored four outstanding women in celebration of Women’s History Month during today’s Board of Supervisors meeting. The honorees – Trustee Sara Hernandez, Councilmember Ysabel Jurado, Lauren James, and Corinne Sanchez – were selected for their leadership and dedication to making a positive, lasting impact on the Los Angeles community.

“I am inspired and moved by the commitment these four women have demonstrated to our communities, even through uncertainty and adversity,” said Chair Pro Tem Solis. “This Women’s History Month, we uplift their contributions to ensuring that those in Los Angeles County, including residents in the First District, have the tools and resources they need to improve their quality of life.”

“It’s an honor to be included today, standing alongside the incredible women who continue the work of those who came before us,” said Trustee Sara Hernandez. “The fight is far from over, and it’s on us to carry the torch with even more grit, determination, and strength. The challenges we face today demand that we keep pushing forward, and I’m proud to be part of this movement.
